One of India's Poorest Districts — and the People Who Refuse to Give Up
In Bolangir district, Odisha, a six-year-old walks four kilometres before sunrise to reach school. A pregnant mother in Nuapada travels two hours by foot to find the nearest nurse. A farmer watches his harvest fail for the third year in a row, unsure how his family will eat.
These are not statistics. These are neighbours — and ADHAR has stood beside them for 31 years.
