About the Project
Breast Cancer Awareness & Early Detection Initiative is a comprehensive health intervention designed to increase awareness, promote early detection, and provide support to women across urban and rural communities in India. The project addresses the critical gap in breast cancer education and screening access, particularly among underserved populations where late-stage diagnosis remains a significant challenge.
Objectives & Key Activities
The initiative aims to reach 50,000+ women through targeted awareness campaigns, community health camps, and digital outreach programs. Our approach combines education with practical screening support to enable early intervention and improved health outcomes.
- Conduct free breast cancer awareness workshops in schools, colleges, and community centers
- Organize monthly screening camps in partnership with local hospitals and clinics
- Develop and distribute educational materials in regional languages
- Train 200+ community health workers and ASHA workers on breast health education
- Establish support groups for survivors and women at risk
- Create digital awareness content for social media and WhatsApp dissemination
- Provide counseling and referral services for women with suspected symptoms
