About the Project

Hariyali: A Step Towards Green India is a comprehensive environmental conservation initiative designed to combat deforestation, restore degraded ecosystems, and promote sustainable living practices across rural and semi-urban communities in India. The project recognizes that environmental restoration is intrinsically linked to community well-being, livelihood security, and climate resilience.

Objectives & Activities

Our multi-pronged approach combines reforestation, environmental education, and livelihood generation to create lasting impact:

• Plant and nurture 50,000 native trees across degraded forest areas and community lands
• Establish community nurseries to build local capacity for tree propagation and maintenance
• Conduct environmental awareness programs in 25 schools and villages
• Create green livelihood opportunities through agroforestry and eco-tourism initiatives
• Implement watershed management and soil conservation techniques
• Train 200 local youth as environmental stewards and community mobilizers

Through this initiative, we aim to restore ecological balance while empowering communities to become custodians of their natural resources, ensuring both environmental sustainability and economic prosperity.
