Project Description

Oxygen2 Charitable Trust (OCT), under its mission of “Enabling Life,” proposes to implement the Educate & Empower – Child Education and Holistic Development Programme to support children from economically disadvantaged families by improving access to quality education, strengthening academic performance, and promoting their overall well-being.

Many children from low-income families face difficulties in continuing their education because their parents or guardians cannot afford private tuition, educational materials, nutritious food, and other essential household needs. These challenges can affect children's academic progress, confidence, and opportunities for a better future.

Through this programme, Oxygen2 Charitable Trust aims to support 25 children in Bengaluru, Karnataka, for a period of 12 months by providing free after-school tuition, educational materials, nutrition support, and monthly family ration assistance. The programme will engage teachers and operate from a rented teaching facility to provide children with a supportive environment for learning and development.

The initiative will help children strengthen their foundational knowledge, complete their schoolwork, improve their academic performance, develop confidence, and remain engaged in their education. By providing additional educational support alongside assistance for essential family needs, the programme seeks to reduce some of the financial pressures that can affect children's learning and educational continuity.

Key Programme Activities

• Free Tuition: Providing additional academic support and after-school learning assistance.

• Educational Materials: Supporting access to books, notebooks, stationery, and other essential learning resources.

• Nutrition Support: Helping address children's nutritional needs through appropriate programme support.

• Family Ration Assistance: Providing monthly essential grocery support to eligible beneficiary families.

• Academic Monitoring: Tracking children's attendance, learning progress, and educational development.

• Child Development: Encouraging confidence, discipline, positive learning habits, and continued participation in school education.

Target Beneficiaries

The programme will directly benefit 25 children from economically disadvantaged families attending government or private schools in Bengaluru. Beneficiaries will be selected according to their needs and eligibility.

Expected Impact

The programme aims to improve children's access to supplementary education, strengthen academic performance, increase confidence, improve access to learning materials, and support continued school attendance. It will also help beneficiary families manage some essential educational and household expenses.

Oxygen2 Charitable Trust invites corporate organisations, CSR foundations, philanthropic institutions, and individual donors to partner with us in making education more accessible to children who need additional support.

CSR partners can contribute towards teacher support, educational materials, tuition centre expenses, nutrition support, and monthly family ration assistance. Every contribution will help strengthen the educational opportunities and overall well-being of the participating children.
