The school academic year in India begins in April. By mid-term examinations in September–October, six months of continuous coursework completely deplete students' initial notebooks. For daily-wage and low-income families, funding an unexpected second round of stationery midway through the year is an acute financial challenge. Without notebooks, children face classroom reprimands, borrow loose sheets, and risk dropping out before finals.
Under Vayambharati Foundation’s Gyan Setu Program, the Vidya Setu Campaign equips 1,000 verified students with complete replenishment kits right as mid-term exams wrap up in October. At an all-inclusive cost of ₹315 per child, each kit includes 5 single-line notebooks (130–150 pages), a full 10-piece pencil and geometry set, and a durable eco-carrier bag, distributed on-ground with 100% counter-signed tripartite rosters and independent CA auditing.
