At Omashram Trust – Old Age Care, we believe that every senior deserves dignity, compassion, and a place they can truly call home. Founded in 2001, the Trust has been serving elderly individuals who are often abandoned, neglected, or without family support. For more than two decades, we have opened our doors to elders from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they receive shelter, medical attention, emotional support, and love. What started as a small initiative has now grown into a trusted home for hundreds of elders, especially from poor and middle-class families.
Our leadership
Sri (late) Mohan Pai dedicated his life to serving the abandoned elderly. With his compassion and vision, Omashram Trust was built as a home filled with love, dignity, and care for hundreds of senior citizens during their final years.
Smt (late) Geeta Shankar played a vital role in nurturing Omashram Trust. Her kindness and selfless service ensured that abandoned elders received not just shelter, but also emotional support, happiness, and respect in their golden years.
Mr. Gurunath K L has been part of Omashram’s journey for over 12 years, beginning as a volunteer and growing through fundraising to become a Trustee in 2017 under the guidance of late Smt. Geetha Shankar. Since 2021, he has served as Managing Trustee, dedicated to creating a permanent, dignified home for the elderly. An ardent cricketer, he also led the first T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind in 2012.
Yogesh N brings nearly a decade of experience in procurement, estimation, and product strategy within the lighting industry. With a strong focus on innovation and operational efficiency, he is passionate about smart and sustainable solutions. Beyond his professional work, he is committed to elder care, mentoring young professionals, and fostering teamwork through sports and community engagement.
