How long does it take to set up an NGO on Sevastack?
Most NGOs are running the same afternoon. Creating the account takes about two minutes, adding your PAN, 80G URN, 12A and FCRA details and uploading the certificates takes another ten, and importing an existing donor list by CSV takes a few minutes more. There is no implementation project, no consultant, and no software to install.
Do I need training or an IT team to use Sevastack?
No. Sevastack runs in a browser, so there is nothing to install or maintain, and the day-to-day work — recording a donation, issuing a receipt, adding a volunteer — is designed for the person who currently does it in Excel. Most teams never open a manual.
Can I import my existing donor list from Excel?
Yes. Import your donors and their past donations by CSV from Excel or your previous system. PAN validation and duplicate detection run automatically on import, and historical donations can be imported too, so lifetime giving totals and 80G eligibility carry over.
What does it cost to start?
Nothing. The free plan covers the donor CRM, donation recording, automatic 80G receipts, and project tracking for up to 50 donors, 2 projects, 25 volunteers, 50 beneficiaries, and 2 team members. Paid plans start at ₹749 per month and add online payment gateway integration, accounting with the CA portal, HR and payroll, and higher limits.
When do 80G receipts start going out automatically?
As soon as your 80G URN and 12A details are saved and a donation is verified. Each receipt is sequentially numbered, carries your URN, PAN and a QR verification code, and is emailed to the donor as a PDF without anyone on your team creating it.
What happens to our data if we stop using Sevastack?
It stays yours. Donor records, donations, and receipts can be exported to CSV at any time, and donation receipts remain downloadable as PDFs. Sevastack does not own your donor relationships.
