Donate page, website embed and custom domain
Why the public donate or campaign page shows 404, embedding the donation form on your website, and connecting your own domain
On this page
Your public pages
- Donate page:
/donate/<short-code> - Campaign (project) page:
/campaigns/<org>/<project> - NGO profile:
/ngos/<org> - Free microsite:
<short-code>.sevastack.in(Settings → Website)
Donate or campaign page shows 404 / "not found"
Both conditions must be true:
- Your NGO has been verified by Sevastack.
- List in NGO Directory is switched on in Settings → NGO profile.
Turning the directory listing off takes the donate page down too. If you changed your short code, the old link redirects to the new one automatically.
PAN on the donate form
Donors must enter PAN when the amount is at or above the threshold set in Settings → Donation form (default ₹2,000), or when they ask for an 80G receipt.
Embed the donation form on your own website
Settings → Embed & domain:
- Switch on enable embed (otherwise the embed shows 404).
- Add your website address to the allowed list, e.g.
https://yourngo.org. If it is missing, the browser blocks the form. "Not a website address: ..." means includehttps://. - Copy the embed code into your website.
Use your own domain
Settings → Your domain (Growth plan and above; a short code is required).
- Enter the domain.
- Add the DNS records shown (a TXT record for verification and a CNAME to
cname.vercel-dns.com) at your domain provider. - Wait for DNS to update (minutes to a few hours), then check again.
If your plan drops below Growth, the custom domain stops working; the sevastack.in address keeps working.
Payment gateway website verification
When a payment gateway asks for your website during KYC, give your NGO's own website, not a sevastack.in page.
