Plans, limits and upgrading
Plan limits and features (Free, Starter, Growth, Scale, Enterprise), what "reached the limit" and "requires the Growth plan" mean, billing and refer & earn

What each plan unlocks
- Starter: payroll, accountant (CA) access link.
- Growth: website with your own domain, custom email sending domain, payment gateways other than Razorpay, AI bank-statement import, GST register, AI drafting for CSR proposals, custom fields, task board, WhatsApp notifications, connecting Claude/ChatGPT (MCP).
- Scale: public REST API, priority support.
AI tokens
Each plan's AI tokens are a one-time allowance, added when you sign up or buy the plan. They do not refresh each month. When they run out, AI features (Seva AI, expense classification, broadcast writing, bank-statement reading, CSR drafting) stop until you buy a top-up pack. Bought tokens never expire.
- "Out of AI credits. Buy a token pack from Settings → Billing."
- "Too many requests — please slow down.": wait a moment.
Messages you may see
- "You're using X of Y ... Consider upgrading soon.": you are at 80% of a limit.
- "You've reached the {resource} limit ({limit}) on your current plan. Please upgrade to add more.": upgrade, or remove unused records.
- "Your plan allows X ... Upgrade or remove some before importing.": the import would take you over a limit.
- "... requires the Growth plan" / "Payroll requires the Starter plan or above.": that feature needs a higher plan.
Paying
- "Payment failed. Please try again.": retry, or try another card/UPI.
- "The autopay mandate wasn't approved...": approve the mandate in your bank/UPI app and retry.
- "An upgrade is already in progress": wait a minute and refresh.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. There are no mid-cycle refunds.
- After a downgrade, records over the new limit become read-only. Nothing is deleted.
Refer & earn
Settings → Refer & earn. You get 30 free days for every NGO you refer that upgrades to a paid plan.
