Counsellor (Jaipur)

About the role

This is a new, full time role at CLiC. The Counsellor will bring proper mental health support to two groups: children living in Child Care Institutions, and care leavers who have already moved out. The role covers all four districts of Rajasthan, and the Counsellor will be a core part of CLiC's mental health team from day one.

What you'll do

• Run one on one and group counselling for care leavers living on their own across the four districts. Run a compulsory counselling session for every care leaver before they start a new job, and stay in touch for 6 months after they start
• Visit CCIs across all four districts regularly and run one on one and group counselling sessions
• Support the District Captains with guidance and their own counselling, so they don't burn out
• Work with CCI staff and Cluster Managers to spot children who need help early
• Refer care leavers to outside mental health experts when they need more specialised help
• Visit CCIs across all four districts regularly and run one on one and group counselling sessions.

Requirements

• Experience working with teenagers or young adults who have had a tough start in life.
